MSC Clubhouse – The MSC clubhouse is the center of all social activity at the club. Easily accessible, it offers a kitchen, dining area, and screened porch on the main floor.
The lower level has lockers for rent, restrooms with showers, refrigerators, freezers with bagged ice and a clothes dryer. Picnic tables are located outside along with a small firepit.
Adjacent to the clubhouse above the small garage you will find a large raised deck that is used for dancing, entertaining, and watching beautiful sunsets.
MSC Docks & Dock House – Our safe and secure marina includes a private launch ramp and two gated piers with locks. All of our “in-the-water” seasonal-slips consist of EZ-Dock. Each slip includes a finger pier along one side of each boat. The Dock House is located near the docks. It provides storage for kayaks, club boats, equipment and tools for the members.
A manual hoist is located above the overhead door of the Dock House to assist in raising and lowering masts for smaller boats.
For smaller day-sailors, there are additional “dry-slips” in the lower parking area and in the lower lawn for larger boats.
An electric hoist is also available for easy launching and retrieval of smaller boats with slings near the day sail pier.
MSC Grounds – The spacious grounds include picnic areas, grills, and a shelter with tables. A small beach area that makes a perfect swimming hole.
Sailing and social events begin with our Spring Banquet and continue through early fall. These include private club events, on-the-water parades, Memorial Day Breakfast, Raft-Up and Fourth of July Hamburger/Hot Dog Grill and the Annual Dinner. Social events are scheduled approximately once a month during the sailing season. Come and join us in the fun!
For Our Larger Boats
Thanks to the generosity of one of our long-time members and many others to bring this three-year project to completion, we now have our first ever GIN POLE. This will make the raising and lowering of your mast much easier and safer. Access to the gin pole is restricted to members only. Members wishing to use the gin pole will require orientation before using the first time. Please contact the commodore for more information.
The Muncie Sailing Club now offers it’s members a secure area to store their kayaks, paddleboards, etc. on the property during the sailing season. An additional cost will be required for each storage space.
Additionally, an EZ-Dock kayak launch has been located nearby that allows paddlers to easily enter their kayak and push off into the water.
