Happy New Year!

We are only about 90 days away from the start of the sailing season so it is time to get your boats ready for launch. We have started planning the years and hopefully have some level of socialization. The board is putting plans together so that if we can socialize or have a modified socialization we have a plan we can execute. As the plans become more firm we will post them on the website so that you can you can save the date(s). One event that will start in early April will be our sailing lessons. The first sessions will be a classroom type setting so that we can begin to get people on the water as early as possible.

We are seeing early registration of members using the website which is a quick and easy way get your registration in. We will start to assign slips in the latter part of March so remember to get your registration completed by March 15 if you want to maintain your slip. We will begin with assignments as they were last year making some minor changes where members are not returning and new members are coming in.

Last year the major project for the club was to replace the roof, gutters and add aluminum soffit and facia. In the coming years we will be assessing the paint on the exterior of the house and window replacement. There are several places on the exterior where the paint is peeling and the bare wood is exposed. The goal is to get the house painted and protected to preserve the siding from rot. We also have windows that are deteriorating and will need to be addressed. Our capital fund should support both of these activities and we will begin addressing both of these maintenance issues.

2021 is starting on a positive direction and hopefully we will soon begin to see covid-19 in the rear view mirror. Until we do stay well and stay safe. We will soon see you on the water.

Thanks for your help and support,
