I’m sitting down resting my feet as I’m sure many of you are. Thanks for a great dock day! There were over 30 people contributing in many ways to make our Sailing Season Great. This was the best one since I joined the Club. There were three Dock teams, one House and Grounds team, and individual efforts everywhere. To summarize….
- Setup and added two slips to A dock including dropping thousand pound anchor weights from our self-designed custom barge.
- Disassembled an old set of wooden docks and salvaged the metal for another day.
- Setup B dock.
- Put in the Day Sailor dock (D).
- Relocated picnic tables.
- Power washed the garage and the clubhouse steps.
- Cleaned the clubhouse and started all the refrigerators and ice coolers.
- Raked and picked up leaves from around the clubhouse
- Cleaned the entire seawall of debris and leaves.
- Spread a load of sand on the beach
- Labeled slips with names
- Distributed membership cards
- Had donuts, coffee, and lunch while making friendships
Truly a team effort! Special thanks to Steve Scherschel, Joe Kucharski, Mike Pace and Justin Curley as well as our new members who jumped in like pros.
Have a great — rest of the weekend.
