Spring is just around the corner and this weekend will give us the first real taste of summer. On Sunday March 29, 2026 we will have our first social gathering as the Murpah Shrine In Muncie. Spring Banquet is always a time to reconnect and find out what is new at the club. It is not too late to RSVP. The dinner is $20 per person and there are 3 different meal selections. If you have already registered we will see you there na d if you haven’t RSVPed there is still time. If you are interested in coming just go to the club website and go to the MEMBER”S ONLY side to register. If you forgot the code it is 1438.
In the coming weeks activity at the club will be increasing as we prepare to kick off the season. As always we will be looking for volunteers to help with projects and signing up to work on social events. Without volunteers we cannot complete critical projects and coordinate social events.
March 15 was the last day to renew your membership without a $25 late charge. You may also experience a reassignment of your slip or not be able to get the slip you wanted. If you have questions please contact me.
Many of our newer members may not know that we have a hoist to lift your boat off your trail to do maintenance. This is a safe way to work under your boat to apply bottom paint or work on your keel. We have 2 sets of jack stands that allows 2 boats to be worked on at the same time. If you would like to use this equipment please contact Steve Scherschel (Harbormaster) or myself. Special training is required to use this equipment and you will need to reserve this equipment with an estimate of how long you will need it. Many boats will take more than one day to complete.
