As a follow up to the board meeting I wanted to share some important information. Covid remains with us and we have had questions about future activities. As always our primary goal is to keep everyone safe. To that end we are continually monitoring conditions and the recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities. Based on the knowledge that we have at this time we are continuing to schedule only outdoor social events while practicing procedures to keep everyone safe. The current standard for outdoor events is to maintain a safe social distance without masks. We will not schedule any indoor social events.

Over the last year we have had a significant increase in the number of young children in the club who spend many hours on the beach and on the playground. As part of our responsibility to keep them safe the board has designated the beach and playground as no smoking areas. No smoking includes vaping in addition to tobacco products.

Just a reminder that dogs need to be leashed at the club. Also, pet owners are required to clean up after their pets. If you bring a pet to the club you are expected to bring the necessary bags to clean up after them.

Dates to remember:
October 17, 2021             Annual meeting and election of board members.
October 20, 2021             All members who do not request the extended stay must have theirs boats and trailers removed from the property by the end of the day.
October 22 & 23, 2021   Dock days. Removal of stationary docks

If you are interested in sailing beyond dock days  please register with Mike Jackson. We will again use the floating docks to extend the season and members on a floating docking dock will have priority.

Additional information concerning the annual meeting and dock days will be posted as we near these dates.

Keep your sails up and keel down,

Joe K.
