Here are updates and activities that everyone should know about.

Gin Pole — Barring any last minute problems, the gin pole could be operational Friday night.

It’s Memorial Day weekend and we’ll have our traditional Memorial Day Breakfast on Monday at 9am. For those of you who didn’t see it on the Facebook page, here it is (below). If you don’t have Facebook and want to pitch-in, no rsvp necessary — just bring something to share and show up.

Racers (or want-to-be’s) — There has been some interest in getting a racing program started. This of course needs a program, leaders and participants. The board thought it would be a good idea to assemble a group that could get a program started and consolidate interest. If you have interest in helping set up or leading a racing program, be at a meeting at 11:00am (after breakfast) at the Dock House.

Open House – June 14th. The board has set up a MSC Open House for June 14th from 10am-12. During that time, we expect some visitors to the club. Please treat them as guests and possible future members. We’ll be showing them around and answering questions. Along with this, MSC will be featured this month in Muncie Magazine.

Later on the 14th at 4PM we’ll attempt a raft-up and sail parade (weather permitting).

Jamboree of Wheels — June 7th 12-4. The Jeep, car, bike boat show as they call it, would like as many of us as possible to sail around the beach area from 1-2pm. Last year they received a lot of comments about how nice that looked and we had fun.

Finally, as we’re going into the active part of our season, please be mindful that members have reserved the clubhouse or picnic area at times for small get-togethers. Please show respect to their guests. Members who have reserved the time are responsible for their guests, MSC property, following Club Rules, and cleanup. The clubhouse bathroom area is available to everyone.

*Lost and Found – A set of headphones was found on the property. If it’s yours, pick it up just inside the clubhouse door, lower level.
